Official Court Contact Routes

Use the office that maintains the case or record you need. Chippewa County assigns Circuit, District, Probate, and Juvenile matters to different custodians, and each office can address its own files, calendars, and copy procedures. This page routes official records requests and court-status questions to the verified local contact.

This Is Not a Court or Government Office. Chippewa County Court Docket is a private reference site. It cannot retrieve official records, issue certified copies, alter a hearing, remove or seal a case, or give legal advice. Direct those matters to the responsible court or clerk below.

Need an Official Docket or Record?

Start with the court and file type, then contact the custodian rather than relying on a general county request. A public MiCOURT result can help identify a case, but it does not replace the record held by the court of record.

For County administrative records rather than court files, Chippewa County's FOIA Coordinator is the County Administrator's Office at 319 Court Street, Sault Ste. Marie, MI 49783. Michigan FOIA does not replace the court's access rules for case files. For appeals from a Michigan trial court, the relevant appellate court is the Michigan Court of Appeals.
