NO FCRA USE. This privately operated site is not affiliated with a government agency or court and is not a consumer reporting agency. It must not be used for any purpose regulated by the Fair Credit Reporting Act, including a decision about credit, employment, tenant screening, or insurance.
1. What This Website Is
Chippewa County Court Docket is an independent reference site. It does not operate the 50th Circuit Court, 91st District Court, Probate Court, Juvenile Court, County Clerk, MiCOURT Case Search, MiFILE or TrueFiling. It does not keep official court files, process filings, issue copies, or alter court settings.
2. Informational Use Only
Site content is general information, not an official court record, order, legal opinion, or legal advice. Michigan Court Rule 8.119 treats a case history and calendar as distinct court records and places the case file with the clerk. MCR 1.109 protects specified personal information in filings, and AO 2006-2 sets standards for public and nonpublic court-record access. Verify any material fact with the court or clerk that holds the original record.
3. Rules for Using This Site
Users agree not to misuse the site, its pages, linked public resources, or any returned information.
- Do not violate federal, Michigan, or local law
- Do not use information to stalk, harass, threaten, or harm another person
- Do not use site information for an FCRA-regulated decision
- Do not attempt unauthorized access to site systems or linked court systems
- Do not deploy bots, scrapers, or automated tools against the site
- Do not disrupt access for other visitors
4. We Are Not a Consumer Reporting Agency
We are not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA and do not create consumer reports. Site information and any third-party result reached through it may not be used to decide credit, employment, tenant screening, insurance, licensing, benefits, or another FCRA-regulated matter.
5. No Legal Advice
No site page advises a visitor how a charge, hearing, deadline, filing, order, or case status applies to that visitor. Consult a licensed Michigan attorney for legal advice about a particular matter.
6. Accuracy Is Not Guaranteed
Information is offered as is and may change without notice. Court dates, contact details, access rules, fees, case status, and online availability can change. MiCOURT is informational, may exclude restricted case categories, and does not displace the court of record. Confirm records and settings directly with the responsible clerk or court before acting.
7. Third-Party Services and Links
Links may lead to official court, clerk, County, state, or outside-provider pages. Those services have their own availability, prices, data practices, terms, and records. We do not control or endorse their content and are not responsible for a service's results or operation.
8. Intellectual Property
The site's original text, graphics, logo, and code belong to Chippewa County Court Docket or its content partners. They may not be copied, distributed, modified, or used to create derivative material without permission, except as law allows.
9. Limits on Our Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for a loss or damage arising from use of this site, a linked site, or information obtained from either.
10. Indemnification
You agree to protect and hold us harmless from claims, demands, or expenses, including reasonable legal fees, that arise from your misuse of the site or violation of these terms.
11. Governing Law
Michigan law governs these terms. A dispute relating to use of this site must be brought in a court located in Michigan, subject to applicable law and jurisdictional requirements.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may modify these terms. Updated terms take effect when posted here.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can you look up a case or docket for me?
No. Use Docket Search for a public starting point, then contact the court or clerk that maintains the record.
Can you change or confirm my court date?
No. Only the court can set or confirm a hearing. Use the Court Schedule and verify the setting with the responsible clerk.
Is a docket entry on a linked tool official?
No. An online result can be incomplete, delayed, restricted, or out of date. The official record remains with the court or clerk that maintains the file.
Where do I ask a question about these terms?
The Contact page identifies the site and official-record routing; it cannot provide legal advice or court action.
