Privately Operated Reference Site
This is an independent guide. It does not run a court docket, schedule hearings, keep an official case index, accept filings, or issue records. The 50th Circuit Court, 91st District Court, Probate Court, Juvenile Court, and their clerks maintain their own records functions. MiCOURT Case Search is a state public-search channel, not this site's database.
Accuracy of Information
Court addresses, hours, fees, online systems, and procedures can change. We aim to provide useful current guidance but do not warrant that any page, linked source, or third-party result is complete, accurate, or current. Confirm details with the office that maintains the record before visiting, paying, filing, or acting.
Dockets Change - Verify Before You Rely
A calendar is a schedule of cases, while the case history is the procedural record. Michigan Court Rule 8.119 recognizes that distinction. Hearings can be continued, cancelled, or reset, and filings, restrictions, and dispositions can change a case history. A public result may also be limited by court rules, redaction, a sealing order, or MiCOURT display rules.
Use a docket entry or calendar listing as a starting point only. The court or clerk responsible for the case is the source that can confirm the current status and setting.
Verify With the Official Source
Nothing on this site is an official record. For an official case history, document, certified copy, or current setting, contact the appropriate custodian. County Clerk Steven J. Woodgate is the Circuit Court Clerk for 50th Circuit Court files. The 91st District Court, Probate Court, and Juvenile or Family Division have separate records routes. The Michigan Court of Appeals is the usual appellate route for Michigan trial-court appeals.
Not Legal Advice
This site does not provide legal advice or an opinion about a case, charge, order, filing requirement, deadline, or access right. Speak with a licensed Michigan attorney for advice about an individual matter.
Third-Party Search Tools
Outside companies operate any third-party search tool shown on the site. We do not control their results, data practices, prices, or availability. Their information may be incomplete, delayed, wrongly matched, or outdated and does not replace the official court file.
Outbound Links
The site links to County, Michigan Courts, MiCOURT, MiFILE or TrueFiling, and other external resources for convenience. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, accuracy, operation, or security.
No Records on This Site
We do not host court dockets, case files, orders, hearing calendars, or certified records. MCR 8.119, MCR 1.109, Administrative Order 2006-2, and the relevant court's access rules govern whether a court record is public, redacted, restricted, or reproducible. Michigan FOIA applies to Chippewa County administrative records, not as a substitute for a court-file request or a means to override court confidentiality rules.
